You can't say "get it over" like that, though. In the sense of forgetting something, moving on. It's always "get over it", in this order.

Yeah, it happens. I thought it was important to point it out because while it isn't a major mistake, it can still give off the wrong idea. If you say "get it over" in that context, people will probably think you meant to say "get it over with", while having forgotten the "with".
