After that conversation we had, remained a strange atmosphere between us.
There was a strange atmosphere between those two,
Bit of an odd atmosphere between you two hosts though, are you ex-lovers?

Donay's answer sounds more natural to me, Jimmelo. I'm not saying that "strange atmosphere" is wrong, It would be clearly understood.
