potluck = everyone brings a dish of food (salad, spaghetti, cake, etc.) Sometimes a guest will be asked to bring a salad, bread, main dish, etc. Often there is no advance planning, and people bring whatever they want. It's like a lottery, but with food!

BYOB = Bring Your Own Bottle (all guests are to bring the liquor they will be drinking, the host will not provide the beer/wine/etc.)

BYOBB = Bring Your Own Bottle and Broad (all guests are to bring their own liquor and girlfriend/date) broad = girl, woman

keg = small barrel of beer (chopp)

kegger = a party where there will be one or more kegs of beer

a beer run = Trip from party to a supermarket or liquor store to buy more beer
