Push your luck

You're okay so far, but don't push your luck.

Don't push your luck - they've agreed to pay your travel expenses, I don't think it would be wise to ask for more money.

Agreed.

As for the sentence "Vou evitar fazer isso para não dar chance ao azar."

I would put it this way: "I am not going to do that, I better not leave that to chance./I am not one to leave it to chance/I never leave anything to chance/I don't ever leave anything to chance."

Ah, and "...it's better not leave anything to chance, and so on...

===============
I am posting this one in the sense I think Rakell tought. Obviously depends on context, so in some
Contexts the sense Donay pointed out fits well. Again, beware the context.

"Push your luck" e "leaving it to chance" são belas expressões!

I'm not going to do that and (run the) risk (of) misfortune.

Mas não tão expressivo quanto "push my luck".

Another one: better safe than sorry! (context-wise, of course.)

Wash that cutting board, I don't know if that cutting board was washed, chances are that it wasn't and it could cross-contaminate other meat (uncooked I mean). Better safe than sorry!

Nothing can be left to chance.
Nada pode ser deixado ao acaso. (correr risco desnecessário)

You must use sunblock. Don't take chances!
Você deve usar protetor solar. Não se arrisque!
