To lean over, to lean forward
I leaned over and picked up the coin that was on the floor.

To bend over, to bend forward
I bent forward in the car seat and cleaned the windshield.

It is always a good idea to use the word in a sentence to avoid confusion.

Nevertheless...

Inclinar-se para fora
Ex: debruçar-se da janela

I leaned over to smell her neck..

Debruçar-se sobre / examinar
Ex: debruçar-se sobre um texto

The Community approach should address this particular point.

Take care,

Obrigado

My suggestion:

Pore over (something).

For example: She pored over the reports, looking for errors. I need to take a few hours to pore over these contracts and see if they are ready to be signed.

Bye!

Could be: to look at the (OR- this) issue/discuss the subject/look on the matter/address the issue/study the matter in more depth/consider the subject/examine the matter closely. Etc.

Of course the use goes with the context. That's more, here I am dealing with the reasoning/intellectual side of the word "debruçar".
Eu usaria "to dive in", como em:

We'll also be doing quite a deep dive in online education.

To give a book where you can dive in at any point and come back and revisit it.

I wanna kind of dive in a little bit on both sides of this equation and help you.
