Quick seria mais comum que fast neste caso.

enquanto fast indica a rapidez de um movimento, quick indica a rapidez de uma ação, um acontecimento.

He runs fast, no one can beat him at a foot race.

I had a quick breakfast and then I went to the office.

Mas nada impessa de usar fast, ambos estão corretos.

Usando 'quick' or 'fast' não vai mudar o sentido. Para mais intensidade use "QUICK FAST"

You may find the following forum discussion of quick vs. fast interesting. I especially liked the comparison between Superman being faster or quicker that a speeding bullet.

I like "swift" only because I can then drop this quote and sound wise:

The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favor to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all. [Ecclesiastes 9:11]

Hey Murilo, quando falei do "geek'' me referi a mim mesma !
Adding a bit of slang, some good phrases are:

You better be quick on your feet or you will.....

or

You better think on your feet if you want to.....

both of the above are commonly used.
