Outra posibilidade de Merriam-Webster:

milque·toast
often capitalized
Etymology: after Caspar Milque-toast, comic strip character created by H. T. Webster died 1952 American cartoonist, from milk toast
: a timid, meek, or apologetic person : one who is habitually afraid to assert himself : one readily intimidated by aggression or authority
May I use the own word banana as a translate of it?
Banana means someone crazy, silly and so on... but does it mean anything like a shy or weak person?

Ex:

Peter is a banana
Peter é um medroso/fraco/coitado?

Actually, "banana" is a slang word in English but the meaning is quite different from that in Portuguese. At least in the USA, a "banana" is an Asian who has completely assimiluated into the Anglo-Saxon culture and has no ties to his Asian culture. Like a banana, "he is yellow on the outside and white on the inside."

Do not expect an American to understand what "banana" means in Brazil. What would you understand if I said someone was an Oreo? An Oreo is a type of cookie. It is brownish/black on the outside and white on the inside. To us, an Oreo, therefore, is an Afro-American without ties to his culture who is black on the outside but white on the inside. How about a "coconut"? A coconut is brown on the outside but white on the inside, So....

Two other words you will hear informally are "wuss" and "wussy". The "w" comes from the word "wimp". It's not a palavrão, but don't use it in formal English.
