Tentativa:
"Among the dead and the hurt all survived"

I think some fellow Brazilians are misquoting Churchill, on English speaking sites there´s no mention to that, not that I know.
Our well-known proverb is used in Portugal, as well, with a bit of tweaking.
That is, they say "Entre mortos e feridos, alguém há-de escapar", and I saw this on Wikipedia.
"Entre mortos e feridos alguem há-de escapar."
Translation: Among the dead and the wounded someone will get out [unscathed]
Meaning: In spite of the disastrous situation someone or something will still not suffer damage

Other translation I found was "even in war somebody will survive."
