Olá pessoal,
Queria saber se é possível usar ''put someone against someone else'' ou ''set someone against someone else'' para dizer ''colocar alguém contra alguém'' ?
Ex: She's been trying to put(set) you against me, don't you see that ?
Qual seria a melhor opção ?

Hi there, Daniel.
Set someone against sb else is the best option, in my way of thinking.

My suggestion:
Verônica tenta envenenar Gustavo contra Davi e Rose.
To pit someone against someone.
Verônica is trying to pit Gustavo against Davi and Rose.
Bye!

In the same tack of "pit X against Y" (as Breckenfeld pointed out) one could try to "play X against Y", or play one against the other.
There´s also the "turn other people against you" by some smear campaign (playing off friends against you.
Anyway, I like the short and descriptive "somebody poisoning someone against somebody else/you" plus the "...turning somebody against the other/you..." from Henry, because it´s concise and expressive. All other ways to express that are valid and good too.
