Sim, há escolas nas zonas rurais em muitos países, na maioria, em Inglês, elas são chamadas simplesmente de - Rural Schools.

I would use "school in rural area" vs "in urban areas ", education itself (meaning curriculum here) doesn´t play (an influential) role here since it is the same to both set of students (even in developed countries).
In fact, it´s about the learning environment and living area of the student. So, factors like geographical area, teacher training (less qualified teachers), resources (availability of technology and information and lack of facilities in schools - labs for example - or insufficient ones), education of their family, socioeconomic issues and interaction of peer groups. It´s necessary that those resources or similar ones are available, albeit adjusted to the reality of the student in rural areas, so to make it easier to the student of remote or rural areas to excel in school.
