Como dizer "Eu tento muito não usar isso" em inglês

I was talking with a friend and I don't know how but we mentioned google translate, so I said that:
"When I really need a translate, and I don't found anywhere, I search on google translate, but I try a lot to don't use it. Principally when is expression... google is terrible to do this."
He answered me and say this:
"I think the right form is I TRY TO NOT DO/THINK/..."
I agree with he, but "do" and "does" aren't used for negative and affirmative sentences?

Thank you guys, I hope you understand, and PLEASE correct anything that I could spoke wrong

Bom, acredito que o sentido que você quer expressar com a frase seja:

''I avoid using it.'' ou ''I avoid using Google Translator.''

''I try (very) hard not to use it.'' ou ''I try (very) hard not to use Google Translator.''

Precisaria da confirmação da galera.

Opção:

Eu tenho muito não usar isto.
I really try not to use it.

Bons estudos!

Luiz, a opção do seu amigo realmente não me parece correta, pelo menos no contexto da sua frase; fico com as opções do Donay.

I suggest:

"When I really need a translation, and I don't found one anywhere, I go to Google for the translation, but I try hard not to use it. Especially when it is an idomatic expression... Google is terrible for that."
He answered me and said this:
"I think the right form is I TRY TO NOT DO/THINK/..." (And he is right!)
I agree with him, but "do" and "does" aren't used for negative and affirmative sentences, are they?

No, she doesn't. She would like to work as a salesperson.

Doesn't he know your name?

Thomas,

Try to not think? are you really sure it is correct?

You are right, Flavia. I didn't notice I was splitting an infinitive.

I try not to do/think....

I try not to think about her too much.
I try not to be absent more than once per semester.
I try not to be an arse.
.

However, in conversational English you will hear "to to not do/think..."
