And in a colloquial way "drop by":
Me, my hubby and babies drop by at my parents house to celebrate and greet her a Happy Mother's Day.

Hubby - husband.
Eu quero fazer uma visita aos meus pais.
I want to drop by at my parent´s (house).

Of course, "drop by" would suggest you are in the area and suddenly decide to get there unannounced, eleventh-hour decision, sort of.
On the other hand, if are alone, okay. If you are with kids, the parrot, the dog and pets, it would be showing respect to them by calling first, not just showing up unexpected (or calling at the last minute - already arriving in town).

By the way, another way to express "drop by" is "drop in" meaning "passar/dar uma passada" (o que seria uma visita casual e rápida, algumas vezes não planejada - já que você está na área dá uma 'passada').
That is, it would be 'uma visitinha".
