Desculpa reativar o tópico mas ontem eu vi que os americanos utilizam a palavra "choke" para significar virada, eu vi isto em um comentário em um jogo de futebol americano e inclusive os americanos gostam de fazer piadas com "Choke" relacionado a coca-cola("Coke").
Ex:
Did the Patriots win last night or did the Broncos choke?

Alguém confirma se choke pode ser utilizado com este significado?

Yes, fightback and comeback could be used. At least in British English.
Including when referring to a draw, then the lead result coming from the penalties (when the match has come to a draw).

I also have the feeling that comeback has a certain ring of "revenge" (focus on the end result) whereas fightback and turnaround would place the emphasis on the "turning the tables" per se. For example, the Liverpool game in which it was losing by 3-0 and then turned into a 3-3 result! Then a real comeback! Anyway, the words could be interchangeable in our example, and in others. So, you can deem my answer as a little soccer/football fan rumblings, albeit I don't know much about it!

So let's, for convention's sake call "turnaround" - a virada/uma virada, and "comeback" - ganhar de virada. But then, I was the one made that convention, hee hee.
