EX. AGENTE TA CORRENDO CONTRA O RELÓGIO PRA CONSEGUIR ENTREGAR ESSE TRABALHO AINDA NO PRAZO.(We´re racing against the clock to hand in this assignment on schedule.)

BASTA.
EX.Os atendentes dessa loja são muito mal educados , BASTA agente perguntar demais sobre as caracteristicas do produto para eles tratar agente com indiferença.(...you just ask about a product´s features and they start treating you indifferently.)

The expression "to be up against" is an interesting one. You can say "I´m up against impossible odds," for instance. Recently I found a slightly different form that will test your English with a good laugh:

The accused is brought up before the judge. The judge gives the person an inquisitive look.

Judge: "Have you been up before me on another occasion?"
Accused: "Ugh...I don´t know, Your Honour, what time do you get up in the morning?"
