Em inglês americano, existe hot-sheet ou hot-sheet hotel. Tratam-se de gírias.

Ex.: They went to a hot-sheet hotel. [Eles foram para um motel.]

"Motel" in English includes the sense that you have in mind. The word "motel" is often used simply to denote a lower-priced accommodation, and may or may not be by a roadside.

Eu já vi na região de Nova Iorque um motel (motor hotel), onde eles ofereciam "Fantasy rooms". Então algumas pessoas incluíram fotos nas críticas que fizeram sobre o lugar, e o quarto se assemelha bastante aos dos motéis no Brasil. Mas o motel era um motel comum.

I know of no special word in the US for a Brazilian-type hotel. In poor areas, there are places called "hot pillows" that charge by the hour, not the night. (The idea is that when you arrive, the pillows are still hot from the last couple.)
