A seleção brasileira é muito superior à seleção argentina - neste caso posso dizer "much superior'?

Pelo que entendo é redundante já que "superior" é um tipo de adjetivo que chamamos de "absolute". Fica estranho graduar esse termo.
Melhor dizer: "Far superior"
Contudo, creio não estar incorreto o uso de "much" conforme você postou. Eu usaria "far".

Hi there Julio Cesar! Yes it could be used that expression, albeit (sometimes) "much superior" in soccer is in the eyes of the beholder!

Italy - “Il Cattenaccio” (“The Padlock”). Reached 1970 final and only lost to what is considered the best soccer national team ever (Brazil ‘70) and even then because they were already tired after the exhausting semifinal under the heat of Mexico. Later won 1982 (defeating a much superior Brazil) and 2006 (in lacklustre tournament). Have been relevant always, despite their aversion to attacking.
