Como dizer "Namorar (no sentido de 'fazer amor')" em inglês
Oi, pessoal!
Estou traduzindo uma história para o Inglês, e em determinados momentos, a narração vai descrever que o casal "namorou", mas no sentido de fazer amor/sexo, mas, como a linguagem do livro é mais leve, não usa a palavra "sexo" em momento algum. Em português, as únicas expressões que tem no livro é "fazer amor/namorar".
Existe alguma expressão similar para "fazer amor/namorar" em Inglês, que indique claramente que os personagens estão fazendo sexo? (além, é claro, da expressão "make love").
Pensei na expressão "make out", mas tenho medo de significar somente dar uns amassos. Pelo que pesquisei, também tem a expressão "get laid", que significa fazer sexo, sem ser algo ofensivo.
Porém, gostaria de saber se existe uma expressão mais carinhosa e amorosa, e não num sentido obsceno, pois estarei usando em cenas mais românticas. Gosto muito da palavra "namorar" do português, e gostaria de saber se tem algo similiar no Inglês.

Neste contexto, "make love" é a opção a ser usada. É a mais comum, e traz consigo o romantismo.Porém, gostaria de saber se existe uma expressão mais carinhosa e amorosa, e não num sentido obsceno, pois estarei usando em cenas mais românticas.

Could be that after being together for 20/30 years (as a couple) they keep the spark alive/they are still madly in love, etc.
Another context (more on the 'namorar' side, it's that they still have/they still keep having date nights/they keep their fire on burning, go in a romantic getaway,
I think depending on the degree of informality you could also state that "They still have intimate encounters/lie together/have intimate moments/intimate time, etc."
