Seria assim:
Don't judge the people by their appearance
Ou assim:
Dont' judge the people's appearance

Don’t judge people by their appearance.
(menaing, don´t judge others by what they wear or what they look like.

Don't jugde by the appearance (of the outside). (it applies to everything, people or otherwise).
So, take a look at them, take a walk with them and listen to what they have to say first.

Dont' judge the people's appearance - it´s used with the above meaning sometimes, but it essentially means "don´t judge people by their fashion style, beard shaving style, their clothes etc. By their looks."
But, again, if you use with the other meaning people will understand as well. In fact sometimes the concepts merge, say you see a guy in rags at the streets, you can think of a hobo, someone that doesn´t seek a job. Stop, ask and you will know more.
You see a guy that is on the beach everyday, in lawyer suits, then you think "he might be crazy", then the guy is a real lawyer in a Rio de Janeiro beach. The beach is his office. Many of his clients knew him there.

Precisely that, Leo. Spot on! Thanks for complementing it. That was an excellent imagery.

Not that we should stop being careful with our safety, etc, it´s that we should not overdo it. Conversely, we shouldn´t accept everything at face value. Today, a well-dressed girl, woman, man or a respectable old guy will go through the same revolving security door of a bank, it goes with the territory and situation.
Thank you all
