People can't help making mistakes

Eu não posso deixar de cometer erros.
I can't help making mistakes.

Bons estudos!

Additionally,

You can't avoid committing errors.

Hi guys
But what if "Não pode deixar de" is in the context
My suugestion here is "can't not..."
e.g.
10 places that you can't not visit in England

"Can't + not" is quite confusing (at least for me)

Complementando:

Para dizermos "não poder deixar de", no contexto apresentado, sugiro: should be sure to. Um exemplo feitos por nativos:

Conveniently located between Colorado Springs and Denver, this is one Colorado outlet mall you should be sure to visit [ você não pode deixar de visitar] .(www.colorado.com)

Boa sorte!

I think you wouldn't use "can't not", it would be "can not not", which is wrong. You use "you're not allowed to", in this case, "10 places you're not alowed to not go in England".

Como disse o Tim, é certo no inglês. E também é no português:

10 places that you can't not visit in England.

Windows? I don't like it, but I can't not use it at the office.

...and I would be remiss if I did not mention So-and-So's contribution...

to be remiss = to be at fault

Sobre este post instagram

Eu quero dizer isto no Comments deles:

A) No Sheik can't not go to this show!
B) No Sheik can't not watch this show!
C) No Sheik can't stop going to this show!
D) No Sheik is not allowed to not go in this show!
E) No Sheik is not allowed to not watch in this show!
F) This is one show (a) Sheik should be sure to go!
G) This is one great show any Sheik should be sure to watch/ to go!

Kisses for all! (:*

I think either I understood the translation different or I am mistaken (my guess as the following):

10 places that you can't not visit in England.

Windows? I don't like it, but I can't not use it at the office.
Windows?

To me "can´t not" would be equivalent to "must" (or at least in the majority of cases). "Can´t not..." sounds more colloquial, though.

We learn that we shouldn´t make negations in a sentence, that´s why the "umcomfortable" feeling of one learner. Thing is, such negations would be about the some action, the same verb.
Here we have "can´t" as opposed to "not visit" (for example), that´s why it´s acceptable in this case, even if seems awkward at first. Thinking of it as an exception would help (the Portuguese-speaking learner) somehow. :-)

I think in this case it'd be more natural to say: "A show no Sheikh should miss!"

And in Paulo's example: "10 can't-miss places in England"

Ref. merriam-webster

"Can't not" exists as an expression, but can't-miss is more common in situations like this.

Hi there, Bryan. It was a case of answering that it can be "doable", possible. But it´s nice that you filled the gap that it was going to be left, that of being a natural way of expressing it. Thanks again for chiming in.
