Two likely options, but there are a number of ways to say that:

-We are used to see the bad guys lose at the end of the films, but it seems irrealistic. In real life one sees a lot of bad guys that win.

-In fiction the the vilain characters and evildoers that lie through their teeth don´t get away with it. Whereas in real life they do. (some of them do/lots of them do...)

By the way, if we think of it, the vilain is the one that makes the story. Take him out, you don´t have a plot.
