-Talking to someone looking them in the eye (the entire time they speak) is different.
-How do you mean 'different'?
-They say that the eyes are the windows of the soul, so you see through them (people, I mean) and you can see/feel whether they are telling you the truth or not.
Or...
You can see/feel if they are speaking the truth.

Talkin to someone face to face is a different experience (than to talk on the phone...)
(face to face - in person, personally - here as compared to a conversation over the phone or other means of communication).
