Yep, coaches, in contrast to transit buses.
The ones (almost always) with high-floor, with a separate luggage hold mounted below the passenger compartment. The majority of them typically with forward-facing seating, may include on-board restrooms, televisions, and overhead luggage space.
In Brazil, usually TVs only for show, they don't turn it on (for safety or some other reason, pick one).

The top class would be "luxury buses" or even VIP coaches, but then to executives or the moneyed people. :-)

Not all coaches will have beds/fully reclining chairs like a leito bus in Brazil. I've heard the terms sleeper bus and sleeper coach for ones that do.

I think travelling by bus is much better in Brazil than the US - you many more options for comfortable seats - but I guess we don't travel by bus much in the US anyways. Everyone just flies.

Ex.: I loved the luxury night bus. [Eu adorei o ônibus leito.]

That's it!
