Eu coloquei assim: "discover all the places education can get".

Therefore, this practice(?) will allow students to find out how far having a good education can take them.

Chances are that "prática" mean something like "suggestions/procedures/protocol", "guidelines" or "standards".
It happens that "prática" is such a fixed expression within the educational system, that it´s the first that springs to the Brazilian student in this area.

I do know what it means, I just blanked out when trying to find an English equivalent and not sure if 'practice' works

It happens, Leo (if I can call you like that) :-). Sometimes I just draw a blank, I can relate to that.
It was that I didn´t know that at the time, straightaway my teamwork instinct kicked in.
Clw, sorry for coming late to the party, that ship has already sailed. But I am glad that Leticia has beaten me to it and has answered exceptionally well. ;-) And Leo, in his first suggestion as well, spot on.
