In soccer parlance in English I don´t know, but I´ll make a fictional account:
X roots for ABC.
Y cheers for America.
So America crushed ABC and then is beaten badly by CSA.
X says "I can´t believe your team played bad as that..."
Y answers "you say that out of Schadenfreude, because your team won´t ever beat mine!"
Or Y goes like this "you are savoring our losing to CSA, out of jealousy, you hold a grudge because your team always lose to my team."
Or, "Our losing to CSA doesn´t make your team any better. It doesn´t change the fact that yours is a loser!".
...it doesn´t change the fact that when our teams play, if your team wins is "an upset".como-dizer-fregues-no-futebol-em-ingles-t41527.html
