Como dizer "pegar leve/ pegar pesado" em inglês
No sentido de exigir de alguém:
set a (high / low) bar for (someone) - making a standard or level that other people or things will have to meet
→Example:
I try to set the bar very high for my students. I expect a lot out of them, and I think that's why they turn out to be so successful.

Sometimes "going overboard" can be used in that sense. In fact, going overboard means "exagerar/ir longe demais/se exceder (com/em algo)", but it's not always used in a negative sense.
Anyway, it's in a negative sense here:
Most reviewers tend to go overboard when it comes to criticism.
