Four protestants were injured and taken to the hospital.

In the US the religious protestants are the biggest part of the population.

Olá João,

Há diferença. Note:

demonstrators/protesters = someone who shows that they disagree with something by standing somewhere, shouting, carrying signs, etc.

Protestant = a member of one of the Christian Churches that separated from the Roman Catholic Church during the 16th century

"Protestant/Evangelical/Reformed movements"

Logo, as sentenças ficam assim:

"Four demonstrators/protesters were wounded and rushed to hospital."

"In the United States, the Protestants are the majority of population."

1- capitalized(Protestant)- of or relating to Protestants, their churches, or their religion

b : a member of any of several church denominations denying the universal authority of the Pope and affirming the Reformation principles of justification by faith alone, the priesthood of all believers, and the primacy of the Bible as the only source of revealed truth; broadly : a Christian not of a Catholic or Eastern church

2: one who makes or enters a protest; making or sounding a protest
