Para dizer isso, utilize:

1. República: dormitory (AmE), hall of residence (BrE)
2. Ela passou mal: she felt sick.
3. Passei mal: I felt sick.

Bons estudos.

What a North American univrsity student would typically call it would be "off-campus student residence" or "co-op."

So the typical shorthand would be "I´m off-campus." Or, "We share a house." Or, "I´m in co-op."
Thnak you all!!!

I've never heard of a good equivalent for república in the USA. A fraternity is a fraternidade. Some fraternities have fraternity houses, but such a house only accepts members of that fraternity. To share a house comes close. Student housing and co-ops are often related to university ownership and control. If I wanted a close translation, I think I would go with "I share a house with some other students." Am I happy with that translation? No.
Maybe you can use ''towny'' to "república".
