Como dizer "tentar pintar me com uma imagem de" em inglês

Ola,

Gostaria de saber a expressão que mais se assemelha a esta:

"tentar pintar me com uma imagem de"

Exemplo:

- Estão a tentar pintar me por Bully (rufia , arruaceiro )
- Estão a tentar fazer me passar por Bully (rufia , arruaceiro )

Obrigado.

Rui

She is trying to make picture me as a troublesome person/guy.
She is trying to picture me as a troublemaker.
She is trying to peg me as a troublemaker.

She is trying to peg me as a monstrous person. (not a translation, but it´s somehow
A related expression - or you could use it in other contexts)

It´s worth noticing (to the Brazilian learner here), that "rufia" is a word used in Portugal to mean "arruaceiro/alguém que arruma problemas (ou só arruma problemas na rua, etc).

Little correction:
She is trying to make me seem like a troublesome person/guy.
She is trying to make me seem like a troublemaker.
She is trying to make me seem like an angry and difficult person/the one with a foul temper.
Obrigado PPaulo,

Ajudou bastante !
Penso que a mais intuitiva para mim sera "She is trying to picture me as a troublemaker"

Obrigado

Great! It goes with context indeed. I am glad that it somehow helped.
