Na minha opinião, as opções com "reputation" estão relacionadas a manter uma boa reputação. Ao passo que a opção com "name" tem mais a ver com "fazer jus ao nome/fama que tem." Ótima expressão por sinal!
I'd would prefer to say that to live up to one's name means to meet the expectations that one's name suggests. For example, if a man is called "Jeff Strong" and he is indeed a strong man, then he would be living up to his name. I believe this phrase is also used figuratively, in that "name" can mean reputation or fame.
