Como dizer "Tirar uma música (de ouvido)" em inglês

Como dizer "Tirar uma música (de ouvido)" em inglês
Olá, pessoal!

Minha dúvida é bem simples. Busquei na internet e não consegui descobrir em lugar algum como se diz "Tirar uma música" (referindo-se a guitar ou violão no meu caso) e "Tirar música de ouvido". São duas expressões bastante comuns no meio musical.

Para dizer "tirar uma música de ouvido" em inglês usa-se a seguinte expressão:
I'm learning to play that song by heart.

Quando você usa o "by ear", tem um significado de improviso:
I'm not 100% sure of the plan, so we will need to play by ear (em não estou certo do que foi planejado, desta forma teremos que tocar de improviso).
