Três Marias é um nome dado a um asterismo - grupo de três estrelas - que formam o cinturão da constelação de Orion. Aprenda a dizer isso em inglês.
  • Orion's Belt
  • Three Kings
  • Three Sisters
Exemplos de uso:
  • I can see the Three Sisters in the sky. [Eu estou vendo as Três Marias no céu.]
  • That is Orion's Belt. [Aquelas são as Três Marias.]
Trecho relacionado:
  • The three stars of the Orion’s Belt are pretty evenly spaced and form a more or less straight line, which makes them easy to locate. Because the belt stars are so prominent in the northern sky, they are associated with a number of stories and myths. The stars are known as the Three Kings, Three Marys, Frigg’s Distaff, Three Sisters, the Weighing Beam, and by many other names in different mythologies, from the Babylonians to Egyptians and Greeks. Olá mestre Donay.

Quando criança no sítio, em noites estreladas, ficávamos procurando entre as estrelas:
- O Cruzeiro do Sul - Crux or Southern Cross. A constellation located in the southern sky in a bright portion of the Milky Way.
- A Estrela d'alva ou estrela da manhâ (Morning star) - A planet (usually Venus) seen just before sunrise in the eastern sky.
- E as três Marias que agora eu sei o nome em inglês.

Bons tempos.
