Two ways to say "Vamos chupar picolé" in English:

Olá Cesar,

Não vejo mto "destaque", creio q as duas são bastante usadas. eu pelo menos vejo bastante o uso das duas.

"to eat", "to have" hmm que eu saiba, não há outros verbos para isso ( I mean VERBOS COMUNS, bastante usados) se tiver, nao to lembrado.

Thank you,

Murilo

You'd ask someone "Would you like (to have) a popssickle?"
But you'd probably say you were "sucking on a popsickle."
You don't normally "eat" a popsickle.

Once I was correcting some english homeworks for my cousin, and all the kids wrote " to drink popsicle" I thought to myself, "ohhh God, is it really worng? cause all of them used the verb to Drink", then I asked a friend and she said " no no, it's wrong don't say "drink", say "eat".

I just think it's weird to use the verb "to suck" as my mind is dirty I see bad conotations there rsrsrsrs.

Yeah, maybe you`d eat a popsickle but certainly suck on a lollypop. Murilo, you do have a vivid imagination...

The reason you cannot say have some popsicle is that he word 'popsicle' is a countable noun..
You can have a popsicle or 2 popsicles.
But you can say Let's have some popsicleS.

If you say you eat a popsicle it will be understood, but since popsicles are not nutritious, unless made from fruit juice, it is more normal to say "have a popsicle.

Como disse Mary, "Shall we have a popsickle?"

We don't really "eat" popsickles.

Guys,

Don't forget "popsicle" is a Brand. The formal/general name is ICE POP...

In England, Wales and Scotland nobody says "Give a popsicle!", in this countries it is best-known as "ice lolly" (as in USA, it is also a Brand, the most famous ICE POP brand in UK)...

So, take care, when you are outer America, people may not understand what you meant by "popsicle".
