Explorando a net em busca de novas expressões, encontrei uma interessante para dizer que alguém está "velho(a) demais para fazer algo".

-----> (to be) over the hill
(Definition: too old to do anything)

Ex: My grandfather was still water skiing when he was 80. No one could tell him he was over the hill.
Meu avô ainda ainda praticava *esqui aquático* aos 80 anos. Ninguém poderia dizer que ele estava velho demais (pra isso).

P.S. Idade é algo muito relativo!
