Os pontos de um teste são chamados "points". Se você dá pontos você "give points", se você tirar pontos, você "take (number) points off".

"I'll take points of the test if you keep talking" (Vou tirar pontos da prova se você continuar falando)

It takes a bit of emotional intelligence to deal with students; more so with teens. To threat of taking out points of a 'given' pupil, more so if he or she is popular is inviting 'mutiny' and could be counterproductive to the teaching.

So, to convey the message in general ways is the key.
They would state something in the lines of like "points are subtracted/taken out for talking in class" or "anyone talking in class will be taken out points from the (monthly?) assessment/tests(s)"

Of course, that should be said before reaching a point the "if you keep talking", and it goes with the context, there will neighborhoods in which the safety of the teacher will require other strategies.

Perhaps, the classes should be more interactive? Or perhaps there will some time to talking be allowed? There are teachers that live well with stillness or 'noise' (even if it's just a liltle hum?)

How to fix a 'talkative class'.
