Como usar "one" para falar de algo já mencionado

Recently I was listen a podcast. During the program the host said "Well, it's now move on to Quick tips and jokers section" and the co-host reply "Oh! I be waiting for this one". My question is about the second sentence. If the co-host have been said "I be waiting for this" without the word "one", have been the sentence wrong or incomplete?

"One" é usado para se falar de algo já mencionado, a fim de evitar repetição do nome ou termo, quando já se sabe do que se trata. No caso acima, uma pessoa diz "jokers section" e a outra em seguida fala que está esperando por esta seção (waiting for this one). Ao invés de dizer "for this section", diz "for this one".

Mais exemplos:

'Where is my book?' ''this one?'' or "that one?'' ['One está meu livro?' ''este (livro)'' ou "aquele (livro)''?]
''I'll talk to the guy.'' 'Who?' ''The one who lives there.'' ["Eu vou falar com o cara.'' 'Quem?' "O (cara) que mora lá.'']

One: used to mean someone or something of a type that has already been mentioned or is known about.
