Depende.
Você pode usar stick para pregar um aviso na porta da geladeira, por exemplo: Stick a message ON the fridge.
Você pode usar glue para juntar duas extremidades ou partes. Ex.: How to glue foam TOGETHER.

They had the statue's beard glued back on.
E stick também vai bem com together:
