Conditional if it´ll - Do that if you´ll get the opportunity

Hy guys,

Exemplos do livro de inglês "In Company Upper Intermediate"
a) Do that if it will help -conforme o livro, esta frase está correta
b) Do that if you´ll get the opportunity - conforme o livro, esta frase está incorreta e o certo é: "if you get the opportunity"
(frase do livro: In Company Upper Intermediate)

Quais as regras de uso dos auxiliares will and would ao lado do IF?

Grata,

Agnes

"Well, if it will rain, we must take umbrellas." (if it will rain... = se [vai] chover...)
"If you'll [you will] just hold the door open for me a moment, I can take this table out to the kitchen." (If you'll just hold = Se você mantiver...)
"If you will keep all the windows shut, of course you'll get headaches." (If you will keep... = Se você deixar...)
"If you will just move the table a bit to the left, we can pass." (If you will move... = Se você afastar...)
"If you will excuse me, I think I will go to the rest room" (If you will excuse me... = Se você me permitir/Se [você] me permite...)
"If you and all the EE forumers excuse me, I must leave" (Se você e todos os membros do fórum EE me permitirem, tenho que ir embora)
[Wikipedia me ajudou a compor (ou copiar) estas frases]

Sobre o emprego dos conditionais should, would, must, ought to, can, may e might, sugiro dar uma busca no próprio fórum.

Agnes,

I think you can do that if you're going to get the opportunity to talk to them.

Do that if it will help.
Do that if it will give you the opportunity... (nessa frase, IT can't GET, but IT can GIVE -- porisso mudei o verbo)

Passando para um presente hipotético:

Do that if it helps you.
Do that if it gives you...

podemos descartar o WILL sem problemas.

But this is a quick answer. There may be a better explanation.
