Correção de frase "The acquaintance with the neighborhood"

I guess you intend to say sth like "A boa convivência com a vizinhança..." right?
If so, I'm not sure "acquaintance" would be the best option.
Talvez "Keeping a good relationship with the neighbourhood is very important"
que tal?

*another point to consider:
"the follow phrase" para adjetivar use "following", e "phrase" has a different meaning from "frase". Prefira usar "sentence". So, "the following sentence"

Este é um daqueles casos em que "The" não é necessário. A sentença devia começar com "Acquaintance..." Isso é uma dificuldade constante para falantes do português, e não é fácil explicar qdo omitir o artigo em inglês. Vejam:

Acquaintance with this neighbourhood is important for any social worker.
The acquaintance I have of this neighbourhood comes from my social work in the area.

Knowledge is power.
The knowledge I have empowers me to solve problems of this kind.

Eu não vejo muito que seja problemático com "acquaintance", nesse contexto. Outros sinônimos como "Familiarity" ou "Personal knowledge" também seriam adeequados.
