Tenho que fazer um essay sobre Reading and Writing, mas não tenho idéia de como fazer, quais idéias e autores para pesquisar, então fiz essa Introdução e gostaria que vcs fizessem a correção no que for preciso, sem mais, Romilson

When we think in reading and writing the first question we always ask to ourselves is: What is reading? What is writing? Which way to go to achieving these skills so important in the teaching-learning process?

As we know, teach students to read and write is a main task of the school. Reading and writing are very important for people exercise their rights to work and participate in citizenship, seek information and learn new things throughout life. At school, children and teenagers need have contact with different texts, hear stories,
observe adults reading and writing. Need participate in a varied work schedule and stimulant and also receive very encouragement of teachers and families so that at the right age, learn to read and write.
Reading is about understanding written texts and to produce meaning, learns the difference between various subjects, like a legal document and a poem. Reading provides the reader to know different cultures and people, etc. It is a complex activity that involves both perception and thought.
Writing also helps to establish the connection between oral and written language. It´s not so easy nowadays teaching reading and writing because the students are lazy and don´t like reading books, magazines, newspapers and don´t like writing. Maybe the teacher didn´t motivate and didn´t show them the importance that reading and writing have in their lives.

Working with children is really gratifying. In day-to-day in the classroom, we are challenged all the time. And it is this challenge that makes things possible. Search what we do not know to build with the children the learning that makes us reflect on our profession.
The educator must be prepared to fill in the gaps they are cognitive, emotional, social or psycho. The student comes to school eager to learn, to know more than he knows, he's hungry to learn, to know, speak and listen. It is this desire to keep the educator on. It is the desire expressed in the act of teaching that the educator involves the student in her passion for learning. “Ensinar e aprender são movidos pelo desejo e pela paixão”. (FREIRE, 1992, p.11)”
