Correção: more and more we are surrounded by advertisements

I would like to know if the following passage is correct.

More and more we are surrounded by advertisements. For example, on YouTube it is difficult to find videos without coming across with sponsored videos. In other apps if someone looks up for any information about anything, in a few minutes this person will have to deal with lots of advertisements related to its previous researches.

Note: I am under the impression that "to" is more appropriate than "with" after "coming across". Am I right?

Thanks in advance.

More and more we are surrounded by advertisements. For example, it is difficult not to come across sponsored videos on Youtube. If someone looks up for any information in apps, this person will have to deal with lots of advertisements related to its previous researches in a few minutes.

>> Cada vez mais estamos cercados por propagandas. Por exemplo, é difícil não toparmos com vídeos patrocinados no Youtube. Se alguém procurar por qualquer informação nos apps, esta pessoa estará sujeita a lidar com diversas propagandas relacionadas a suas pesquisas anteriores em poucos minutos.
_____

More and more we are surrounded by advertisements. It is difficult not to find YouTube videos without that annoying sponsored marketing. The same happens to apps. When we do our researches, we need to deal with lots of those advertisements in a matter of seconds.

>> Cada vez mais estamos rodeados por propagandas. Por exemplo, é difícil não encontramos vídeos do Youtube sem aquele marketing de patrocínio incômodo. O mesmo acontece com apps. Quando fazemos nossas pesquisas, nós precisamos lidar com diversas dessas propagandas em questão de segundos.

_____

Notes:

A) To come across something / someone
[phrasal verb]
>> encontrar algo / alguém por acaso.
>> dar de cara com algo / alguém [expressão informal].
>> encontrar algo / alguém do nada [expressão informal].

If the sense of the phrasal verb to come across is to meet someone or to find something by chance, we do not use prepositions after it.
_____

B) I took the expression about anything off the sentence because when we tell someone we are going to look for some / any info, the message is already clear, which implies it is a redundancy. However, if we need to specify what we are looking for, I'd agree to use the expression about it.

Spoken English is different written English. In written English, we need to pay more attention to the grammar rules and the composition and style. Spoken English is informal. However, writing in an instant messaging format can be more like spoken English. In terms of English composition and style, we need to deal with conciseness and structure (cohesion) in one of your sentences: "For example, on YouTube it is difficult to find videos without coming across with sponsored videos." The idea we will find the sponsors messages or marketing on those videos is already clear. Because of that, there is no need to repeat the word video. The better our conciseness, the better our communication or essay will be.

I hope I've helped you.

Enjoy your studies ;-)

ALEGNETO,

In addition to my previous post, you might want to use the expression on Youtube at the end of the sentence or try to communicate it in another way. The sequence of words is critical when communicating in English because it can impact the meaning of what you’re trying to say, especially when we need to avoid biased language.

Examples:

For example, it is hard to find videos without sponsored marketing on Youtube.
For example, it is hard not coming across sponsored marketing on Youtube videos.

I think "sponsored content" could also be an option not to repeat "videos".
The "for example" could be reworded into "take, for example, YouTube..." (here just for variety's sake - the "take" suggests we are picking a random example and not just picking on YouTube).

As for the "more and more we are surrounded by advertisements" one other option could be "we are increasingly [1] getting/becoming surrounded..."
[1] progressively/steadily/steadily more.
Thank you very much, guys!

Glad that I could be of help.

An aside note: 'without come across' would be "without coming across" in that sentence, but it means "to find by chance" and the advertisements are a surefire thing nowadays. ;-)
Thank you, Paulo!
