My name is Waldir, I am 61 years old and married since 1984, with two children (both sons).
I am from Sales Oliveira, Sao Paulo state, in Brazil. I am a doctor and I am about to retire. [or I am a doctor retiring - as you put it.].
I am studying English just because of the intellectual challenge it presents and because it keeps one´s brain young and healthy.
Grammar aside note: eu tenho dois filhos (in Portuguese it may or may not mean "um filho" e "uma filha/dois filhos/duas filhas" etc.).
In English this concept, that is, that of your offsprings whether sons, daughters or a mix, it usually called "children".
Of course, if you have only one it´s "your child" (some would go far and say "your/his/her... Only child" - seu filho único, o filho dele/dela, etc...)
Welcome to the EE, and feel free to make any follow-up question or a fresh one. By the by, your have good writing skills, I had only minor corrections and suggestions.
