No, I didn't. Yet I marveled at how Dr. Ballard[1] successfully used remote-control-operated vehicles (ROVs), to find the Titanic four kilometers undersea.

Yes.
I'm not used to cry watching movies, but I can be emotive sometimes...mostly when something touchs my heart (even when I don't know what/which word/action) and I suddenly start to shed some tears.
I can hardly wait to the 3D version.
I share the same opinion of Expert Marcio Farias..

Operate this equipment is too dificult nowadays, I think how it was that time! It's really marvelous!!!

However, I liked watching this movie. :)

Thank you Flavia for this question!

Nope. But I laughed to death when stupid Jack died.
(I was 5 when I watched Titanic for the first time.) :D

I used to like this movie when i was a kid, but now... damn that story sucks.
I wonder if there is someone who never watched that movie before!! ^^
No, I didn't cried when I watched it for my first time, since by that time I was very young, thus probably there was no chance for me to understand that movie. Then, I became able to understand it, but that movie started to be on tv, so I think it lost its meaning, I meant, often after a movie begins to be shown on television, it loses the thing or its charm.

But my sister loves this movie and for sure she cried if it would be shown on TV today!

Rafael,

Check out this rewrite and let me know what you think, and if you have any questions.

"No, I didn't cry when I watched it for the first time, since I was very young then, and probably did not have any chance of understanding the plot. After I was old enough to understand it the movie was being shown on TV, and I feel that a lot of the emotional impact of a movie is lost when it is interrupted especially by commercials."

But my sister loves Titanic, and cries each time she watches it."
Bill,

I really appreciated your changes, the essence of my message flows better in your version. But I have a question, you changed "thus" to "probably" in order to improve the concision? With a rereading I feel that.

In the end of my text, I wanted to say that a movie lost its charm when begins to be shown on tv, because in Brazil who just sees nationalwide channels, that was my case when Titanic was broadcasted on a free channel called Globo, had to see Titanic after some years of its creation. So, in my message, that movie was "old" enough to me when I saw it for first time, that was on a nationalwide channel, due to that I felt that Titanic lost a lot of the emotional impact. I did not refer to commercials, as you wrote on the end of the fist paragraph.

But I think your whole change is worthwhile one. I guess I was not clear in some parts!

Thank you so much!
Sorry, I meant: ... you changed "thus" to "and"...

When I first watched Titanic (with Spanish audio), when the movie ended, I cried a bit. Nevertheless, when I watched it again (with Brazilian Portuguese audio), I didn't cry.

When I watch romantic sad movies for the first time and the main couple doesn't "live happily ever after", I'm used to cry a bit, though I don't want. But when I watch it again, I don't cry.
no I didn't... i just became a little sad for the man (Leonardo Dicaprio)... in fact I became angry with the girl... if you're a cynic person like me (:p) you will see that the girl let him drown in the cold ocean

If i said something wrong tell me ;)

I a friend of mine had told me beforehand ,how it would end hahaha....it was just not a surprise anymore, thus, I just thought with myself in the end "ohh poor Jack", but no tears came out.

No, she didn't... they did try to share the door but it was too much weight and they both would die.
I didn't cry neither and in that time wasn't usually for me do that. But after some facts in my family, I've started to cry in some specific movies that remind them. =/

The first time I watched the movie I cried. I was 8 years old and I cried at the minute Rose started screaming for help, after Jack's gone. The background music was so sad.
No, I didn't cry anytime... The first time I watched to this film I was a kid, and I liked a lot, but I've never cried about this film.
No. I don't cry. I'm man and man don't cry. haha How about?

Claudio,

Please compare your original post with the following rewrite, and let me know if you understand why I made the changes.

"No, I didn't cry. I'm a man, and men don't cry. haha How about that?"
No, left me a little sad really.
But do not think this is a movie to cry.

Nadirlei,

For questions in the past "Did you cry when..." answers have to be also in the past:

No, i didn't.
Oh, yes. That guy, Jack, he had cold feet and pretended he wasn't there, and then the girl dumped the guy. I felt sorry for him.

Actually, I did cry when I watched "Up" (like everyone else, I suppose). "Up" is an amazing movie for kids and grown-ups, for men, women, transsexuals, everyone!

It should have won the Oscar for best picture; or, at least, a nomination. "Slumdog Millionaire" is a good movie, but not a great movie, it shouldn't have won the Oscar. In my opinion, of course.

If you haven't watched "Up" yet, do it, I'm sure you'll love it.
Hi guys!

Kinda funny I bumped into this topic here now because this film was shown on TV today on "TNT" channel and once again made me burst out crying. That was the 18th time I watched it, believe it or not. I just love it! :)

Have a blessed Sunday and and an amazing week ahead!
