Diferença entre ''Cap'', ''Lid'', ''Top'' e ''Cover''

Qual seria a diferença entre essas palavras?
Eu vi a definição dessas palavras e todas se referem a tampa de alguma coisa
Mas eu não sei como diferenciar essas 4 palavras, já que eles usam várias palavras pra dizer tampa
Eles caracterizam pelo tipo de tampa que é usada em cada recipiente?

Sometimes they aren't interchangeable:
A cap can be the top of a bottle ( screw-top lid), of a pen. (antonym - uncap)

A lid to cover a pot, to be put in a jar. (ways of talking about opposites actions - put the lid on - take the lid off of a pot/remove the lid of jar, etc).

Top - can be a bottle cap, a lid of a container,

Cover - it is also used when talking about pans/jars, but less used "jar with a metal cover/plastic jar covers/wood jar cover lids." and sometimes to refer to (the covers of) juice jars. You would easily find the wording in retail catalogues.
