Diferença entre: That's what x That's why

Daniel Reis 2 16
Olá pessoal,

Queria saber a diferença entre essas duas estruturas, pois as vezes me confundo pela tradução.

Exemplos que vejo por aí:

That's why I come here for = é por isso que venho aqui.
That's what I'm your friend for = é por isso que sou seu amigo.

Existe alguma regra para diferencia-los?

Valeus

Mas eu, nessas situações eu utilizo "For this reason..."

The sentence "That's why I come here for" sounds incorrect to me. You can drop the for FWISW.

(FWISW = For what it seems worth)

Essencialmente "that´s why'' = "eis o porquê/eis o motivo." e

that´s what - "isso é.../é isso"

That´s what he wants.

Perhaps that's what is captivating about this picture right now.

That's what you tell all these white dudes so they let you play doctor?

Ou aqui...
that's what happened to me

That's what I'm your friend for...

Sounds a bit unnatural for me, one normally says "that´s what friends are for". Saying "that´s what I´m your friend for" sounds like you are the only friend, or that you want something back.
It´s my opinion, though.
