Hi Flavia!
Despite the fact I have never made use of the "New English File", I have used the "New Headway" series (yet not the American one) and all I can say is that I highly recommend all of its books.
I believe the New Headway series (as the Headway series in general) brings modern themes and spurs students on to discuss contemporary issues in and out of the classroom. It also arms students with accurate vocabulary and up-to-date expressions used in the English speaking world, not to mention the part dedicated exclusively to grammar at the end of each volume. On the top of all that, the series is linked to a great website where students can do exercises and check the grasp of whichever lesson they wish

Every now and then I take the chance and have a quick look at my Headway book (I just have one book).
