Well, the question I have today is about the English expression "Be friends with". I've noticed that, in this expression, "friends" is always used in the plural... But, though it's used in a plural form, could I use it with a first-person singular subject?
For instance, in phrases like "I'm friends with him" and "I have always been friends with him"
I'd prefer much more to use this sentence as "I'm his friend" and "I have always been his friend". But, anyway, would there be the possibility of using that expression with first-person subjects?
