Bom dia.

Fiquei em dúvida sobre a quinta questão. Pareceu-me que a sílaba tônica do verbo Excel é o "Ex", assim o verbo não se aplicaria à regra CVC. Tanto que num dicionário online que consultei (www.wordreference.com) só foi reconhecido Exceling. Realmente Excel é um verbo aplicável à regra do CVC, ou eu estaria certo? Em todo caso, por quê?

Tudo uma questão de "American English"(l) e "British English"(ll).

In British English, words that end in -l preceded by a vowel usually double the -l when a suffix is added, while in American English the letter is not doubled. The letter will double in the stress is on the second syllable.
