Qual é a tradução de "planted a facer"?

I presume he failed to mention how he got that purple eye. I was careless with a cabinet door. He attempted something last night I shan't dignify with words, when your sister planted a facer. Deservedly so.

Seems like he attempted something with the girl/the woman, and then mysteriously her hand got life on its own and punched/hit him on the face. Ow!
The eye was on the face, so it was that gave him the purple eye, not the excuse "I was careless with the cabinet door"...
