Seria bom apresentar um trecho maior, contextualizando, mas a grosso modo:

It could also be a (new) slang of sorts, as the Urban Dictionary puts it:
A simplified way to describe a fast-declining mental/emotional state, often leading to short-term bouts of depression or anxiety.

If the sentence meant that, that is, if and only if based on this slang, then it could be translated into "ela teve um surto (de depressão) ou uma crise de ansiedade" e fugiu.

OR if we want keep it slangy "ela teve um surto (de depressão) ou uma crise de ansiedade e deu no pé/vazou/saiu fora/xispou (palavra antiga...)." (if momentarily).
In a more permanent way "...ela saiu/sumiu (da área).

That is, it is another possibility as well.
