"She loves him
But she doesn't want him
She used to burn for him
But now that's changed" - Marillion - The Sky above the Rain

"Adapt to this world
It's a a chance we must take
We'll sing our song
We'll play our hand" - Haken - The Path

"Angels play dust has lost its sheen" - The Flower Kings - Tower One

Burn for someone - burn for someone or something. to desire someone or something very much.

Source: Free Dictionary.

===============

We'll play our hand"

poderia ser talvez:

Vamos aproveitar (a situação) ao máximo/vamos "fazer a nossa melhor jogada"/vamos jogar com as cartas que temos/tomamos a(s) nossa(s) iniciativa(s) etc.

"angels play dust has lost it´s sheen."
Perhaps it´s slangy. Which could be, among other things, "O "cristal" não funciona mais/não dá mais "barato" etc..."
